About Me:
Hi, I’m Jeremy Krienke, and I’ve spent my career helping organizations—from Fortune 500s to startups and nonprofits—build smarter, stronger information security programs. I’ve had the opportunity to work with companies across the U.S. and internationally, advising on how to protect what matters most while keeping security aligned with business goals.
My interest in cybersecurity began while I was working as an intelligence analyst at Auburn University’s cyber intelligence lab. That experience set the foundation for what’s become a passion and a profession. After graduation, I joined Deloitte & Touche, where I helped organizations across industries including: government, finance, manufacturing, and consumer & industrial products build and mature their security programs.
Before starting Sidewalk Security Advisors, I held a range of leadership roles in the financial sector, including serving as a Chief Information Security Officer at a state chartered bank that also offered digital services to a number of growth stage financial technology (Fintech) firms. My experience covers the core areas of the information security disciplines—Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, Data Protection, Security Operations, and Resiliency.
Throughout my journey, one thing has stayed consistent: I love to build. But more than that, I enjoy working alongside teams, breaking down silos, and making security something that works for everyone in the organization—not just the IT department. Whether it's creating a security program from the ground up or scaling a team to support rapid growth, at Sidewalk Security Advisors, my goal is simple: to help organizations make sense of information security in a way that’s clear, actionable, and tailored to how they do business.
My Mission: To empower small to medium sized businesses that have been overlooked but still face the same threats on a daily basis. If this sounds like you, I’d love to talk further and see how I can be of value so you - NEVER WALK ALONE.
